Upcoming Workshops
Workshop: A Deeper Dive into Underwater Dance
Led by Gabriel Forestieri, certified AIDA instructor, this intermediate to advanced underwater dance course is designed for those already comfortable free diving to 8 meters or greater. The goal is to give every participant an experience of dancing completely immersed in water without any sensation of gravity. The course will include somatic practice, buoyancy orientation, freediving with a nose clip (without a mask), the introduction of dancing with a prop and with others, extending your dive time, and tips for filming underwater dance. The course will integrate video footage as a tool for greater self evaluation of hydrodynamics and a deepened kinetic awareness underwater.
The workshop will consist of water and dry sessions each day. We have also scheduled in time for rest and opportunities to visit the area. If you have ever dreamed of feeling weightless and love to be in the water, please join us in dancing with the sea.
Pricing information and other details located in our Details Section on the Workshop Page.
Please note housing + food is not included in this course. Make sure to book your accommodations soon!

Workshop: Underwater Dance in Tulum Cenotes
Open to all levels of diving dancers, this 3 day immersive Underwater Dance workshop will provide training and experience in apnea and movement underwater. The course offers 3 water sessions and 3 dry sessions with a somatic based approach to combining freediving and dance.
A combination of dry and water sessions will allow us to access greater understanding of our bodies in relation to underwater dance. During dry sessions, we will begin with a focus on breath and the fascial net to facilitate a present and calm state. This practice will evolve into exploring distal and proximal rotation with an emphasis on whole body awareness. During water sessions, we explore equalization, hydrodynamics, and becoming conscious of swimming versus dancing. There will be support at all times, and there will be no pushing limits as we honor ourselves, each individual practicing what feels comfortable. Our main focus will be expression, efficiency and relaxation, blurring the ideas of releasing and holding to find our dance while being embraced by the water.
Registration FULL - Registration closes 1 March (or when full, 8 participants)
